Caloundra Arts Centre Association is holding their very popular Arts and Crafts Fair. All rooms at the Centre will be filled with an exciting and eclectic selection of handicrafts including Pottery, Woodwork, original Art and Pastels to Handmade Lace, Decoupage items, Embroidery, Jewellery and Silk Paintings (to name but a few!). A wide range of handcrafted cards are available also. Many of C.A.C.A.'s 500 members have been extremely busy and creative producing these unique quality goods. Soft goods from their embroidery groups, quilters and lace-makers are stunning to say the least. A cake stall with lots of home-made cakes and jams, plants, pre-loved books and raffles are highlights. Caloundra Quilters are holding their 13th Biennial Quilt Show. With over 100 members in the group there is an impressive display of quilts of all designs and differing techniques. The theme of this year's show is "Beside The Sea" and members are responding to the challenge of making a place mat sized quilt in that theme in which 50 per cent of the supplied fabric must be incorporated. These quilts will be on display and visitors are invited to vote for their favourite.Members will also be conducting quilting demonstrations including "English Piecing", machine embroidery using a laptop computer and hand quilting. Stockland Caloundra Foreshore Fun Run

The Stockland Caloundra Foreshore Fun Run is one of the State's most scenic running events. Entries will open in March 2013.The 10 kilometre Foreshore Run takes entrants through the spectacular scenery at Kings and Shelly beaches before climbing over the Moffat Headland to the finish line. There is also a testing 3 kilometre Fun Run for those who prefer a shorter distance.
