The Coonawarra Vignerons dig out some treasures from their cellars to offer visitors a rare opportunity to taste and buy aged wines during the month of July. This will be the nineth consecutive year that Coonawarra Cellar Dwellers is being held in a move by the Vignerons to attract visitors to the region at this traditionally slow time of the year. Coonawarra wines are well known for their aging ability and Cellar Dwellers provides our region with an opportunity to showcase wines that are otherwise not available for tasting. This event is attracting growing interest particularly from people looking for the opportunity to try something a bit different. The pines will come alive with the sound of off-road vehicles when they roar through the forests in the 36th annual Teagle Excavation ARB Pines Enduro. The track is around 65 kilometres through the Tantanoola Forest and competitors will do six staggered laps totalling 400 kilometres.Scrutineering starts Friday evening. Admission is free and there will be fire drums to keep you warm!Saturday sees a variety of events including the prologue, a top ten shootout and a Dash for Cash. Come to the Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop Feast day where there will be a Mass in St Joseph's Church. All those in attendance will then be invited to the Mary MacKillop Centre where refreshments will be provided free of charge all day.
