The Coal and Allied Singleton Art Prize is a major annual event on the cultural calendar of Singleton with a prize pool of over AUD15,250. On average 600 works are hung and all are for sale. This major Singleton event has been running for more than 31 years and is organised by a committee of The Rotary Club of Singleton on Hunter.Opening Night is on Friday, 19 July 2013 so come along and enjoy food, wine and light entertainment by Cavalier Acoustica.It is well supported by the business community, Singleton Council and the general public, with over 1,500 people attending the opening night and the five days of exhibition, held in July each year.The work which wins the major prize up to AUD5,000 is acquisitive and is donated to the Singleton Collection, the collection holds more than 88 works...
