Penelope By Enda Walsh

Directed by Alister Smith

Presented by Red Stitch Actors Theatre in association with Theatre Works
(performed at Theatre Works: 14 Acland St, St Kilda)

Four well oiled, speedo clad, male suitors - the last remaining in the legendary battle for the heart of Queen Penelope - rehearse their entreaties in the hope that one of them will be chosen before her husband, Odysseus, returns from battle to destroy them all.

Powerhouse Irish playwright, Enda Walsh, has produced a captivating and hilarious meditation on masculinity and human endeavour. A funny, irreverent tragicomic burlesque!

"A truly original theatrical voice" -The Guardian. www.redstitch.net
