What makes Ashrowan Bed & Breakfast different?
Ashrowan in the Southern Highlands is the perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle.  Enjoy a romantic weekend away without the kids in this secluded B&B. Meander up the driveway enjoying the sounds of nature and come upon the house… then relax in your private suite and unwind. Wake up in the morning to your beautifully prepared breakfast.  Take a wander down to the shops and find many surprises.

Accommodation overview
This charming B&B consists of 3 separate suites, The Tower and The Gardener’s Retreat; both with  queen-size beds and ensuites.  Grayswood has a king size bed with ensuite.   All three are attached to the main house but are still very private.

The Tower is upstairs with magnificent views out over the gardens and down towards the river. The ensuite has a large bath and a separate shower.  Downstairs with its own sitting room with private entrance is The Gardener’s Retreat, resembling a colonial cottage with French doors opening onto a private verandah where you can enjoy panoramic views.  Grayswood has its own private courtyard leading from the bathroom.  The bathroom is unique with a Japanese soak tub and freestanding shower with the widest showerhead I have ever seen.

Facilities overview
There is a kitchenette complete with microwave and fridge with drinks. Proudly displayed is Ashrowan Bed & Breakfast’s award from TakeABreak for being the National Winner for Luxury Accommodation.  Choose what you would like for breakfast for breakfast the next morning – along with the time you would like it served.  The breakfast room features unique pieces - both modern and antique, including paintings by Philip.  Your cooked breakfast is preceded by a very appetising offering of fruit, yoghurt and honey, and accompanied by cereal, toast, freshly squeezed orange juice ,great coffee and a wide selection of teas.

Location
Just a short stroll from the main street, Ashrowan is set back from the road at the end of a quiet cul de sac. Enjoy the lovely private garden and panoramic views over the valley.  If you do wander down to the main street you will find an assortment of antique stores and fantastic places to eat including Josh’s Cafe for breakfast, lunch or dinner; that is, if you are still able to eat after Susan’s wonderful breakfast!

Suitable for children?      No
Ashrowan is the perfect place to go when you leave the kids with grandparents for that special weekend away.

Suitable for pets?            No

Wheelchair access?        No

Perfect for?
Ashrowan is perfect for a quiet weekend away for a couple wanting some time together.  It would also be great for more than one couple travelling together as there is more than sufficient privacy when needed with the flexibility of being able to see as much or as little of other people also enjoying Ashrowan’s charms.

Why stay longer?
You won’t want to leave Ashrowan with its old world charm, friendly hosts, fantastic surroundings and great location.

Why you wouldn’t stay longer?
You will only leave because you have to return to work or pick up the kids from their grandparents.
