Sometimes we forget that holidays can go beyond the coast; but taking time out in the magical hinterland of Maleny has many rewards – including Curramore Country Cabins.  Situated in the Sunshine Coast hinterland and surrounded by breathtaking valleys are these gorgeous cabins, which offer an escape most adults are crying out for!

Only a few minutes drive from Maleny and in the heart of spectacular countryside, these 41/2 star cabins are nestled on the top of the Blackall Range, with commanding views of the valleys and ranges.  Imagine relaxing on your own private balcony with a glass of champagne, listening to the bird calls – these cabins offer solitude and serenity.

The accommodation also includes purpose-built accessible cabins, ensuring that those in wheelchairs can also drink in the beauty of this wonderful place.  There are two accessible cabins, the two-storey “Love” cabin, a cosy cottage and a luxury spa retreat suite … so you are spoiled for choice even before you arrive!

On arrival let the cares of the everyday slip away as you enjoy the complimentary chocolates and bottle of wine.  For those who can’t imagine leaving the comforts of the cabin, one of the local restaurants will deliver a delicious meal to your door, or you could pick up some gourmet delights in nearby Maleny and use the facilities of the self-contained cabins to ensure that the outside world doesn’t intrude on your time away from the everyday.

A delicious breakfast hamper is provided, and the hosts are happy to supply picnic and BBQ hampers on request.  All cabins enjoy a cosy fire for those cooler hinterland evenings, and are supplied with the finest linen, fluffy robes, plunger coffee, hairdryers and BBQs on the private balconies.

Why not really treat yourself and enjoy a relaxing aromatherapy massage in the privacy of your cabin, or just kick back with a book, DVD or listen to a CD. Make the most of the Therapeutic Centre and Day Spa and enjoy some of the relaxing beauty treatments.

If you can drag yourself away from all the delights of the cabins, your efforts will be rewarded!  Nearby is an accessible picnic area with breathtaking views over the Mary Valley, many bush walks with wide tracks and of course, the local markets, shops, cafes, galleries and more that you will find in nearby Maleny or Montville.

There are many state forests and national parks in the area, and the ancient Glasshouse Mountains are a must-see, as are the Boolumba Creek Falls & Gorge.  Don’t miss out on the local wineries either – they are well worth a visit.

If you can venture away from the Blackall Range you will be rewarded, as all the attractions of the Sunshine Coast are an easy drive away.  Make a stop on your way to the coast and drop in at Australia Zoo at Beerwah – the home of the Crocodile Hunter.

If you are planning an intimate wedding, Curramore Country Cabins have an amazing venue called Acino’Vista, which is perfect for small weddings or special occasions.

So much on offer and so many choices – the magic of the hinterland and the delights of the Curramore Country Cabins are sure to have you wishing you could stay forever.
