Kenya Cottage, Deloraine Tasmania

Pack up the children and head to Tasmania’s north for a great value family escape. Kenya Cottage in Deloraine has two queen rooms and one room with two single beds and a cot, and is perfect for families. The cottage has lots of books, DVDs and games for the children and a great garden for hide and seek!

Parents will love the comfortable beds, log fire and casual ambience of the cottage as well as the great location, only a short walk from the river and town centre. The children will love feeding the ducks and trying to spot the resident platypus in the Meander river.

Local food and wine are plentiful in the surrounding areas with a chocolate and cheese factory nearby, as well as raspberry, salmon and honey farms and the Tamar Valley wineries. There are plenty of attractions - within a thirty minutes drive - to entertain the family including a wildlife park, national parks and gardens, a fun maze, railway and car museums, Tamar valley tourist attractions and the cities of Launceston and Devonport.

Deloraine has a supermarket and several friendly local shops and cafés.

The cottage is fully self-contained, with all linen supplied. You will receive some breakfast provisions at the commencement of your stay. Kenya Cottage has a combined bathroom/toilet and a full laundry.

Kenya Cottage is proud to be shortlisted in the family-friendly category of the 2010 TakeABreak Awards. Check out Kenya Cottage on takeabreak.com.au.

Launceston Tasmania is really a beautiful place and as well as its growing in real estate. The outlook remains positive in the tasmania. We have experienced low growth in recent years. It is still considered a safe and clean environment to live green.Launceston Tasmania is a great place to live, friendly people, close community and overall a nice looking place
