Comforts of home at Cotton Palm Cottage
By Sarah Macdonald

Cotton Palm Cottage is a family-friendly home away from home. There is something to make everyone’s stay a memorable and relaxing one. The cottage has been in the same family for over 70 years - it was originally built in the 1930s and is one of the few original homes in Dernancourt. It has certainly seen a lot of change from farming cattle on the hill and celery-growing where Coles is now! Over the years there have been changes made to the homestead - the most recent a year ago, with a full renovation, brand new kitchen, laundry and updated bathroom, polished floors and ducted air-conditioning. Enjoy a modern, completely self-contained cottage with the character of yesteryear, while having the convenience and luxuries of modern living. The home has everything you need for... Read more

Amazing Adelaide
By Kylie Jane Degeling

If you are after a holiday with absolutely everything – beaches, rolling hills, museums, art galleries, fantastic entertainment and food – then head for Adelaide. History Founded in 1836 and named after Queen Adelaide (wife of King William IV), the city was meticulously planned by Colonel William Light. His attention to detail resulted in a beautiful city with ocean on one side, rolling hills on the other, and the River Torrens running through. The city centre is completely surrounded by lush parkland, and boasts an easy-to-navigate grid system of exceptionally wide roads. Adelaide began as a centre for civil and religious freedom during the convict era and was entirely built using paid settlers rather than convict labour. Festivals Adelaide is most famous for The Ade... Read more
